Manager's Note: The New York Times provides information that the 1956 movie Friendly Persuasion was based on the novel of the same name by Jessamyn West, its plot based in Southern Indiana during the Civil War. The movie starred Gary Cooper, and the music was composed by Dimitri Tiomkin with lyrics by Paul Francis Webster. IMDB adds that the main title, also known as "Thee I Love" was sung by Pat Boone Dot.
