Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus

French Horn Concerto No 1 in D Major

KV412 and KV514

Bärenreiter ed.

Manager's Note: The reason for the two Köchel-Verzeichnis numbers is mentioned in the Preface of the edition. It reads:

"From the Concerto in D major K. 412 only the first movement and a draft of a Rondo as third movement exist in Mozarts (sic) handwriting. A middle movement is missing completely. This conducting score contains the traditional version of the concerto. The completed version of the Rondo by Franz Xaver Suessmayr (1766-1803), which for a long time was considered an autograph by Mozart, was added to the first movement."
